Antique Ship Models at the Maritime Museum

For naval enthusiasts, MOAS member Vic Reiling (LT, USN) installed a large collection of antique toy ship models at the Florida Maritime Museum, 4415 119th Street W, Cortez, FL 34215.  941-708-6120;   floridamaritimemuseum.org

Many of the models in the exhibit were created in the 19th century, and a number of Battleships and other ships are large and very interesting.
There is NO charge to visit the Maritime Museum, and it is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 9:00AM until 4:00PM.
Vic Reiling will be giving a presentation about the ship model exhibit on Wednesday, January 20th at 3:00PM. You are invited then - or any other time. Friends and children are welcome.

DIRECTIONS:  From the East, drive west on Rt 684 (Cortez Road) towards the Cortez Bridge. Turn left at the traffic light just before the Bridge (119th St W) - and the Maritime Museum is on your left.
