All, I spoke with Erin Minor last Wednesday, the subject of today's article below,and was impressed by her invitation to local MOAS Veterans to come to their Freedom Fest and personally receive their salute, if possible. This is yet another opportunity to enhance MOAS community visibility and relations, while supporting local organizations, like Harvest House, trying to help struggling Veterans to stabilize their lives. If you can attend this event, please let Erin (and me) know that you will be there so that she can have you on her list of representative Veterans for tribute. Thank you for taking the time to talk to me on the phone this morning! As mentioned, Harvest House, in partnership with The Harvest Church, is honoring first responders and military personnel on July 4th from 4pm to 7pm on the corner of Beneva Rd & 17th Street at Harvest Park. This Salute to Heroes will include the Sarasota Sheriff’s Department, City Police, Fire Department, and branches of the military. We’d love to honor veterans from your association who have fought valiantly for this great nation. Also, if there is flag presentation, etc the veterans would like to perform that would be great!
This is a free event that includes food, live music, and games for all ages. Please see the attached flyer and feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to hearing from you!
